What unites us?

What unites all the writers on this blog?? The answer is... Charcoal chicken. It is quiet obvious by now that the three of us prefer a different charcoal chicken eatery. It is also quiet obvious that we all share the same love for charcoal chicken and I believe that is all that matters. Joachim, Matthew and I believe that a fun night out with the boys entails a phat feed at either El Jannnah, La Mono and Awafi before any other events unfold.  It is very important that I explain my order at any charcoal chicken shop. My orer consists of: - 1/2 a charcoal chicken: 1/4 piece isnt filling and a whole chicken is too hectic to take on. - Regular fries: a must have with the chicken. - Regular tabouli: need a little health with the feed, plus who doesnt like Tabouli. - Toum (Garlic sauce): Ties all the ingredients together, making your whole experience flow.  - Coke zero: to wash it all down See you all at Awafi!! El Jannah is Perfect for All Shabebs

El Jannah is Perfect for All Shabebs A ' shabeb ', translated to English, is a group. In my opinion, El Jannah is the ideal chicken place for people from all walks of life, backgrounds and cultural palettes.  El Jannah's consistently amazing food and fantastic customer service (which they have retained since their establishment in 1998) aren't the only draws. Its fair prices, providing of indoor and outdoor options to dine in to their fantastic chicken and general aesthetic, appeal to the eye of anyone who steps in to their restaurants.  El Jannah suits the modern Western Sydney, fast-paced and thriving with multiculturalism. It provides a spiritual break, creating moments where you forget your troubles, work or diet and revel in the food. It appeals to different types of people; families, couples, students and Western Sydney Wanderers fans (such as myself) looking for the ideal feed on a game day. All are beyond satisfied when tucking in to El Jannah. ...

La Mono's Social Media Team is second to none

When one thinks of Charcoal Chicken they automatically think of La Mono due to its warm and bubbly atmosphere, amazing tasting chicken, creamy and garlic toum and crunchy and well salted chips. However it is La Mono's social media team where they truly make leaps and bounds ahead of other eateries such as Awafi and El Jannah. This is done through memes and banter posted on their wall. This is an exceptional tool used be La Mono as it helps to interact with customers and see that La Mono are keeping up with the trends of modern day society. La Mono also use their social media to promote special prizes that other stores don't. Such as whoever guesses the first try scorer in State of Origin gets a free meal from La Mono. As you can see La Mono dominates Charcoal Chicken eateries both with and without the aspect of food. Consider La Mono next time you are in the area. #TeamLaMono By Joachim Subramaniam

Awafi - The mother of all Charcoal Chicken Eateries

Who started the charcoal chicken craze? It was the holy grail of all charcoal chicken shops, Awafi. In 1998, 2 couples opened a charcoal chicken shop in Grandville. Simon and Samira Azzi established a franchise alongside another couple, Andre and Carole Estephan, called Awafi. The charcoal chicken craze was establsihed in the homes of many Lebanese Australians, however never to be heard of in restaurants and eateries. These couples saw an opportunity that has led to multiple successful shops in the western Sydney region. As business started to pick up, the Estephans left the business and started their own franchise now known as El Jannah. Therefore, in conclusion, It is more than obvious who is the mother of all Charcoal Chicken. #teamawafirules. Published by Maroun Ghossain #TeamAwafi

El Jannah Truly Fulfils it's Meaning

El Jannah Truly Fulfils it's Meaning El J annah, interpreted to English, refers to 'the Best', or to be exact, 'the Paradise'. Words I wouldn't refute when describing El Jannah. Spiritually, eating El Jannah places you in a trance, suspended above your own body, it truly is that good. Having tried Awafi and La Mono , their Charcoal Chicken, toum, pickles, chips, tabbouleh, are unmatched to the state of pleasure one receives from eating El Jannah. It is my ideal chicken shop, accommodating and welcoming to its customers, establishing the serene atmosphere to enable the utmost enjoyment of the individual. El Jannah will comfort you no matter your mood. Happy, angry or dejected after a long day at work. El Jannah will stay with you after every bite. You know the right thing to do and that's paying a visit to El Jannah. Enjoy. Published by, Matthew Badrov

Charcoal Chicken - What else matters?

Image
Charcoal Chicken is something that should be experienced by every person to ever walk the earth. It is the rite of every Australian to walk into a Charcoal Chicken shop, smell the fantastic aromas and be treated like family from the moment you enter. This experience can be found at many places, but none do it better then La Mono. Whether you are a regular coming in for a dinner on a Wednesday night or a total stranger to Charcoal Chicken you are guaranteed to have some of the best food around. However at the end of the day, regardless of where you go, Charcoal Chicken is just a must have food. If I had to choose one food for the rest of my life it would be Charcoal Chicken - now isn't that saying something! Tis the Season-ning to be Jolly...

Ive been to too many charcoal chicken eateries but one always has me coming back for more...  Seasoning is without a doubt the greatest characterisitc of charcoal chicken, besides the charcoal feature that gives it an edge over the sunday roast or fried chicken. Awafi has a zesty seasoning that tingles your taste buds, complements the creamy toum that accompanies it and has you reaching for more and more.  The perfect way to eat Awafi's chicken is to wrap it in the soft lebanese bread, with a spread of garlic sauce, crunchy pickles and golden chips. This combination results in the feeling of fireworks popping in your mouth, engaging every single taste bud.  The seasoning therefore is an integral addition to any charcoal chicken dining experience, something I feel other Charcoal chicken shops lack... What is the best Charcoal Chicken shop in Western Sydney?

Image
What is the best Charcoal Chicken shop in Western Sydney? In my eyes, El Jannah . Ever since my dad first introduced me to El Jannah as a kid, it has been the source of many great memories with friends and family. The feeling of pure joy I experience when I introduce friends to El Jannah is incomparable. It is, in my eyes, undoubtedly the greatest Lebanese Charcoal Chicken shop in Western Sydney. El Jannah embodies Western Sydney, an area renowned for its multicultural food options, atmosphere and people. It brings the best flavors that a Charcoal Chicken restaurant can out of its succulent Charcoal Chicken, creamy toum (garlic sauce), delicious tabbouleh, excellent pickles and of course, their crunchy and tasty hot chips. Each time I walk in to El Jannah, I am filled with jubilation and each time this jubilation is more than satisfied. Its family-friendly environment and fantastic customer service (aspects I feel lack in other Charcoal Chicken shops) combine with t...

La Mono - Nothing else is Better

When people ask what the best Charcoal Chicken eatery in Sydney is, I say easy. "La Mono". La Mono has always and will always set the benchmark for the undisputed king of Charcoal Chicken. The moment you walk into La Mono you are greeted by the friendly and welcoming faces of the staff whilst aromatics of La Mono's signature marinade for their chicken fills the restaurant as it slowly cooks over Charcoal to create a succulent and unbeatable chicken. However it isn't just the chicken that makes La Mono better then other restaurants such as Awafi and El Jannah. They specialise in Crunchy hot chips, crisp Tabouli that is second to none and they have the best toum around (Ive heard El Jannah stole their recipe for their toum). La Mono is a place for all people and the next time you feel like some quality Charcoal Chicken, you know were to go. I look forward to seeing you at La Mono By Joachim Subramaniam #TeamLaMono#ElJannahStoleOurToum

Awafi Atmosphere

Salam Aliekoun (greetings to you) Charcoal Chicken Lovers, Atmosphere is the greatest attribute of a charcoal chicken shop. It is the heart and soul of the whole dining experience. When I think of great atmosphere and even greater Charcoal Chicken, I think of Awafi. Awafi is a charcoal chicken franchise based in Granville, Punchbowl and Revesby. It is without a doubt my favorite charcoal chicken shop due to its succulent chicken, crunchy golden fries and creamy toum (garlic sauce). These factors alongside great customer service and comfortable dining screams out amazing atmosphere. I challenge any other charcoal chicken shop to compete with the dining experience at Awafi as whole. They definitely cannot!!!  Typing this blog has me craving some charcoal chicken, off to Awafi I go... Published by Maroun Ghossain #TeamAwafi
